  8. This is an update for Trial 1 (also for registered users!)
  9.  
  10. You must have the Trial 1 version installed on your system!

  12. ATTENTION:
  13.  
  14. Because the Trial-1 version has a date-check included it will
  15. not properly work after the 1 February 1998. This was part of
  16. our beta-testing procedure and forgotten to be removed in the
  17. public release. As result MaVi-System can't recognize the
  18. format of any media file anymore.
  19.  
  20. This new version will expire on "24 February 1998". The real
  21. Trial 2 version is nearly finished and should be available
  22. in the next days from Aminet and our WWW-Site (www.pro-dev.com).

  24. The Trial 2 version finally won't have any expiration date!

  26. ABOUT THE RELEASE:
  27.  
  28. This release is basically "MaVi Trial 1" and includes the
  29. "Picasso96 fix" descripted in TechReport 12-02-97-001
  30. (formerly available as a single fix archive). Be prepared
  31. to get Trial 2 in the next days from Aminet or our WWW-Site.

  33. WARNING:
  34.  
  35. We have told about a "mavikey.library" from the "Cracker Szene".
  36. This key is dangerous to your system (with all current and
  37. future MaVi releases)! You should be prepared to get a very
  38. instable system if using a key which was not registered to
  39. your own system!

  41. DESCRIPTION:
  42.  
  43. MaVi (Multimedia Audio Video Interface) is a system enhancement
  44. which handles many different formats (like Quicktime, AVI,
  45. FLIC, GIF-Animations, WAV, AIFF, IFF-Audio, VOC and much more)
  46. in the same way. It gives access to simple replay (Movieplayer)
  47. and is internally build to help developers to support all of
  48. this formats (and more in the future). This will include
  49. generation and embedding in and with other products.
  50.  
  51. MaVi-Trial 1A is the trial version which acts as replayer and
  52. simple mixer for the currently supported formats. This demo is
  53. limited to 10 secs continous playtime for unregistered users.

  55. This is also an update for registered MaVi-User!
